I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at American Red Cross (Phoneton, OH) in May 2012
Interview
Quick, speedy, general, and remote over phone
Seems to be a defensive process for future protection and protect image than functional questions
Started off well but seems they got bored as it went along
More worried about liberal causes then technical questions with knowledge of hard materials
No technical skill questions - all touchy feeeeeley liberal arts from a community college.
Think sorority sister indoctrination and you have the idea.
Process minded people apply at your own risk.

Interview
Interviewing process was positive. Starts off as a group interview then they break everyone off for a one on one. A lot of information is given during the tour and there is lots of walking so I wouldn't suggest wearing heels.
