I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at American Red Cross (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2013
Interview
You interview with National Red Cross via phone to determine whether or not you meet the minimum requirements. Then you interview with the direct supervisor. When the offer was sent it was through HR. They have standardized positions and pay rates, as well as benefits, which makes the process quite simple. Overall there was a lot of visibility on the process and went by fairly quickly.

Interview process was thorough. Included a few assessments and alot of behavorial interview questions. Arrangements were made over the phone for the interview and then I was brought in for a face to face interview. Started off with assessment tests and then meeting with various managers including mine. Did not meet all the people I would be working with.
