I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
The process is standard at Amazon. You start by HR fit questions about your previous experience and interest in the role then move to phone interview with the hiring team and lastly go into the loop interviews

Question 1
Tell me about a time you took a decision based on a calculated risk?
The interview was all behavioral questions that were centered around leadership principles. Make sure to review those and have at least two to three stories for each one so that you don’t repeat stories.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to make a decision in an ambiguous environment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon in Dec 2021
Interview
Completed an online assessment and passed it before having a phone interview. Process took nearly three weeks just to schedule a 30 minute call and seemed incredibly disorganized. This was the first red flag.

Question 1
Nothing technical only process and behavior questions for a role that was supposed to be highly technical. They were advertising for someone with an advanced degree and university teaching experience both of which I possess but we never even spoke about the topics I have published on or spent the past decade researching.
