Amazon Operations Manager interview questions

Do not take this interview lightly! They are going through an exhaustive process to get to know you. Make sure you do your homework! KNOW THE AMAZON LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES!!!!! If you do not know these cold, you will fail this process; simple as that. Each of the interviewers was assigned 3-4 of the principles; they would read the definition of the principle and then ask a behavioral based question for you to demonstrate how you possess and apply the principle. USE THE S/T/A/R METHOD!!! It makes it infinitely easier on the interviewer. Some of the specific questions I was asked: +Building trust can be difficult at times; describe a time you had to build trust and how did you accomplish it? +Describe a time when you had a low-performing individual on your team, how did you handle it? +Describe a time when your team was not as effective as they should have been. How did you handle it and what kind of feedback did you use? +Give an example of a time when you changed the viewpoint of your superior. +Describe a time when you had to make a difficult decision with little to no input. How did you measure the effectiveness of your decision?
