I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Charlotte, NC) in Apr 2010
Interview
Normal star type of interview in person plus 2 phone interviews and also a scripted mock customer at face to face interview. They give you a tour of the facilities and they expect you to be early to your appointment. They usually hire about 2 months in advance of the training class. Training is about 16 weeks and it is god awful and structured like a middle school class.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Allstate (Yuma, AZ) in Feb 2014
Interview
Applied on line, fast follow-up. Very inexperienced "HR" minion called from several states over. No personality on their end. Spent less than 10 minutes asking a few generic questions. Two business days later I received a generic follow-up ...thanks but no thanks....letter. You'd think they would put more consideration into a 60k per year job and not leave the decision up to some dweeb in a call center. Was the most unprofessional experience ever.
