I applied online. I interviewed at Allied Universal (Lyndhurst, NJ) in Oct 2016
Interview
Applied online...Got a phone call for in person interview... Went for the interview (very long wait before interviewer showed about 30+ mins). Got called in to his office then had to wait some more once I was in his office. Then he came back in the room and no questions asked and I was offered the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do you have your own car? What is your availability? Any location preferences? Expected salary? There weren't many personality, previous experience or skills related questions. Didn't even feel like an interview. I feel like i got the job from my professional attire because all the interviewer seemed to mention was how professional i looked.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Allied Universal in Aug 2016
Interview
The interview process was very boring and almost non-existent. Allied Universal hires bodies not Professional Security Guards. The only thing they require to have is to have a guard card and on some contracts an Exposed firearms permit. They do not do a background check which results in many lazy, non-qualified guards and a very high turnover rate. There are only a few seasoned officers who stay with the company!
