The process was straightforward but was very long indeed. It took 4 months and there were very long gaps between interviews, with no explanation from the HR team as to why this was the case.
The process consists of 3 phases:
- Interviews - I had 4 interviews, each with a Director. The format of the interviews was casual, and covered both competencies and CV review.
- Testing - 3 hours of general maths / critical reasoning and logical reasoning tests, personality tests, including a 15 minute interview with a psychologist. Tests were straightforward, a step down from GMAT.
- Interview with MD - I did not get to this point.
General feedback on my experience:
- This company puts a lot of emphasis on personality testing and, from what I could tell, based much of their hiring decision on your results in these tests.
- The HR team is not equipped to work with potential senior hires. Their interaction with me brought back memories of the graduate recruitment processes I went through 15 years ago. Very different from what I have experienced everywhere else.
- They did not provide me with any tangible feedback on why I was not successful with my application.
- I was impressed with all of the Directors I met. I felt the general company culture was refreshing and would have liked to have progressed further.
