      Vice President Interview

      Jan 31, 2014
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Londres, Inglaterra
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at AlixPartners (Londres, Inglaterra)

      Interview

The process was straightforward but was very long indeed. It took 4 months and there were very long gaps between interviews, with no explanation from the HR team as to why this was the case. The process consists of 3 phases: - Interviews - I had 4 interviews, each with a Director. The format of the interviews was casual, and covered both competencies and CV review. - Testing - 3 hours of general maths / critical reasoning and logical reasoning tests, personality tests, including a 15 minute interview with a psychologist. Tests were straightforward, a step down from GMAT. - Interview with MD - I did not get to this point. General feedback on my experience: - This company puts a lot of emphasis on personality testing and, from what I could tell, based much of their hiring decision on your results in these tests. - The HR team is not equipped to work with potential senior hires. Their interaction with me brought back memories of the graduate recruitment processes I went through 15 years ago. Very different from what I have experienced everywhere else. - They did not provide me with any tangible feedback on why I was not successful with my application. - I was impressed with all of the Directors I met. I felt the general company culture was refreshing and would have liked to have progressed further.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at AlixPartners (New York, NY)

      Interview

Lack of transparency throughout. Completed several components of the interview. HR and hiring team slowplayed process - has to reach out for multiple updates and just dragged along. Similar to below interview, still being considered after my performance; told no hiring yet ongoing job posts exist. Wish this process was simpler without so many steps and lack of communication.

      Application

      Interview

Did not take too long due to an accelerated business need. However, it was an intense process. The process included an external recruiter screen, internal HR screen, a panel interview with function leads, and two interviews with senior stakeholders. There was also a testing round and an interview with an organizational psychologist.
