I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Air Canada (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2022
Interview
The recruitment was managed by an agency. I got contacted via LinkedIn and had 2 interviews: a screening call with the sourcer and a 1-hour interview with a senior recruitment consultant. They both shared a lot of information about the company projects and team. About a week later, I received an email to schedule the interview with the hiring team at Air Canada.
The interview was... interesting. In only 30 minutes, the 2 managers wanted me to explain the most important learning programs and processes I designed, and my philosophy for L&D. When I asked questions, they were not open to sharing anything about the current issues and vision for the team. At one point, the hiring manager looked annoyed too, just because I wanted to ask more questions. This was very off-putting!
After the interview, I spoke with the recruiters, shared my feelings, and declined to continue in the process. I don't think they would have called me back anyway, and that's okay! I would never work for such arrogant managers!
I applied online on July 7th and got a link on July 12 did my first online interview (PredictiveHire). About 6 days later, I got an invitation for a virtual interview. The interview questions were okay.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Air Canada (Calgary, AB) in Jul 2022
Interview
Applied about 4 months ago, though I wouldn't get call back and forgot about it. Received an email last week asking if I was still interested, then booked a Teams interview that lasted about half hour. The interviewer was very friendly, I had a good experience.
Then booked a language test for a couple days later, that lasted about 15 minutes, and again had a good experience.
I was told the nurse wouldn't be avaliable until the first week of August for a health test, so I'm still waiting to be booked for it.
I was also told the next training session is for the end of August.
So now I wait and see. I have had a good experience overall.
