The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aerotek (Naperville, IL) in Mar 2009
Interview
I applied for a Medical Underwriter job and received a call that same day asking for an interview. I was very excited about the quick response and felt they must be very interested in me for this job. The interview went well and I took a skills test that I scored very high on. My staffing agent said he would be meeting with the company the next day (Friday) or on Monday and then he would call me and let me know if I got the job. No call.
I tried calling a couple times and sent two follow-up emails. After leaving messages on the agent's answering machine and the secretary telling me two separate times that, "he is in a meeting" I finally gave up. Obviously I didn't get the job, but I was shocked at how unprofessional this company and specifically this employee were. I no longer apply for jobs through staffing firms and wonder if anyone else has had similar problems with this company.

Question 1
What can you tell me about the position you are applying for?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Aerotek (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2009
Interview
I first applied online and was then called a week or so later by a representative. She set a date and time to have a phone interview. It was supposed to last 20 minutes but turned out to be 45. She was really nice and didn't ask difficult questions. It was more why are you interested in the company/industry. She then put me in touch with the Director who called me up and set an interview date. That interview lasted over an hour. It went well and held a very serious tone. He stressed how hard-working his team was and how he hires based on the intangibles. I don't know why I didn't get the job because he didn't really clarify.
