I applied online and got a call about one week later to come in for an interview the very next day. I was not told very much information other than come in with business casual or scrubs and a random "what is the normal BP range" that kind of threw me off guard. I came in sat down and the manager only asked me one question, yes only ONE. She asked me "why do you want to work here? I answered and she smiled then went to grab a senior medical assistant. At this time I was told I was to be shadowing her, I had no idea coming in that I would be shadowing at all! Honestly I was dressed in business casual with uncomfortable shoes, if I would of know I would of came in my scrubs. I shadowed for about an hour, I was shown around and went through around 3 patients. I was asked to preform manual BP, then the medical assistant sat me down and asked me to wait. She went back to talk to the manager, or I assume it was the manager... She came back after 10 minuets told me we were done and that I would hear back by the end of the week. She asked me if I had any questions but at this point the whole experience was just so confusing that I just decided to go home. I felt completely thrown off guard and kind of like my time was wasted since I did not get a formal interview. The manager did not even talk to me at the end and I felt like they didn't even get to know me. Overall I just wish I had a fair chance and more notice as to what was going to happen.
