Pros

Job security in aviation. Amazing colleagues. No two days are the same. Bonuses. Pay is good. Food and drink provided on shift. Good union representation. A fun inclusive culture amongst employees.

Cons

Unsociable hours. Last minute changes to work patterns. Make sure you know your legal limits for work hours because they can be sometimes be taken advantage of by the crewing department. Also having worked at Gatwick and Bristol the commission you earn can vary MASSIVELY dependant on which base you work out of. Bristol earns about 80% more commission than Gatwick. Sometimes it can be a bit playground politics because crew don’t see each other a lot but it’s up to you if you choose to play those games
