Affinity Bias: Because leadership is often less diverse, "comfort" often dictates who gets the benefit of the doubt. If you don't "look the part" in a manager's mind, they subconsciously look for reasons to justify why you aren't ready for the next step. Being outside of this means you have to work twice as hard as you are often ignored. Things are not equitable if you are the wrong colour
