      Pros

      One of the biggest e-Commerce websites in the world. Have the opportunity to try a lot of things. Feel cool about working for an auction site where everyone can participate.

      Cons

      Management team is not very competent. Too many re-org and re-structure. Too may political fights between teams and people, which makes those who are doing real work helpless.

      Pros

      If you are a full time employee, you are luck but still need to work hard to gain over-average performance review and feedback.

      Cons

      Too many arguments and if you are a relatively junior guy your voice will not be hardly accepted. Too many people talk like almost all the big companies.

      Low technology and Long hours

      Lot of talented people Decent management No corruption It is a stable place to work

      Cons

      way too long hours. ebay technology is a bottleneck and people are forced to use it. company is driven by processes, it is disappointing for engineers. company is totally top-down, meaning engineers' opinion matters little. No time to slow down, rethink and do something better. Old timers who do something repetitively are liked better. Managers decide performance with little peer feedback. It matters to impress the senior management than doing something better. Managers are too old, to understand new technologies or new trends.
