Pros

Collaborative Culture: eBay fosters a highly collaborative and inclusive work environment. Teamwork is encouraged, and everyone’s input is valued. Work-Life Balance: eBay offers great flexibility, allowing employees to balance their personal and professional lives. There’s a good mix of remote work options and on-site flexibility. Career Development: eBay invests in employee growth through training programs, mentorship, and internal mobility. There are plenty of opportunities to advance your career. Benefits: The benefits package is competitive (base), with comprehensive healthcare options, retirement plans, and wellness programs. eBay also offers generous paid time off and bonuses.

Cons

Pace of Change: With eBay’s scale, sometimes changes in the company can feel slow. The company occasionally struggles with implementing new technologies and innovations quickly. Workload: In certain teams, the workload can be overwhelming during peak seasons. While the work is rewarding, it can sometimes feel like there’s too much on the plate at once. Communication Gaps: At times, there can be misalignment between teams or departments on certain initiatives. This could be improved to enhance efficiency.

Great company to work for but no growth.

Pros

Great company to work for, especially within the Authentication department. Co-workers are passionate about what they do and the talent is unmatched. You learn a lot from a big corporate company and there are a ton of opportunities to meet and learn from people from all over.

Cons

There is no room for growth at all, especially outside of the Authenticity Guarantee program. Employees will apply for positions outside of the program and not receive them, when they are basically doing the job at hand. They talk about “hiring from within” and still continue to hire outside of the company - people who don’t even understand authentication and the operations. It puts a strain on the operation and those who are in it everyday. There is a disconnect between departments, too many hands in every pot so nothing gets done, ever. After sneaker con was acquired, they should have re-interviewed each person who was coming over, especially in management. In an operation, if someone isn’t working, let them go. Enough of the 50 million chances when they are not doing their job correctly. eBay could be the best in this realm of work, but they continue to shoot themselves in the foot.
