Pros

Great time off program, comprehensive benefits, competitive pay, friendly staff.

Cons

They've tightened up their hybrid work policy requiring everyone to go into the office Monday-Thursday even if you are a singular team member at your location. Work culture can feel overly political at times and it's hard to climb the ladder if you're unwilling to relocate to Portland, OR.

Pros

-50% storewide discount -free full uniform after 3 months of working (top, bottom, shoes and jacket) -pay is generally decent up to $14/hr if working >120 hours -monthly commissions -interactive experience, great place to work on customer service. frequent interactions with foreigners and learn how to overcome language barriers. -gain knowledge on products and learn how to accurately sell to customers with such information.

Cons

-mainly management concerns: manager will often release us later than working hours. expectation of ensuring store remains spotless such as clothes being folded and fitting room being cleared before being able to go home, which I understand, but it is also not a culture that should be enforced because it is impossible to prevent customers from messing up folded clothes or trying clothes especially on a busy day. Do understand that there is much to learn from working at such a large store and it is difficult to adjust to a fast-paced working environment. There is no room for mistakes in this workplace and you will often get scolded harshly for not being able to do things up to standard. There is not much guidance in this workplace and often left to figure out how to go about things on your own. -Strong culture of higher sales=better employee. This workplace is extremely sales driven and there is high competition between workers. - Often encountering difficult and entitled customers. Feels a little dehumanising. (example: being shouted at by customer from across the store because they simply are impatient and require a personal shopping assistant) - Often bombarded by serveral customers on a busy weekend (4-5 customers at once) -lack of manpower in the workplace, high turnover rate, lack of experienced staff to help with new staff on the selling floor. -often receiving mixed instructions and no clear direction when working.
