ZoomInfo Was One of the Best Career Moves I’ve Made

Pros

Joining ZoomInfo was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my career. It’s a fast-moving, high-expectation environment that really pushes you—but in the best way. If you’re motivated and want to grow quickly, it’s the kind of place that gives you the tools and exposure to do that. What ZoomInfo gave me, beyond skills and outcomes, was a higher bar for what good looks like. It taught me how to ask better questions, move faster, and think more critically about growth. And those lessons stick with you, no matter where you go. It’s not always easy, but if you’re up for the pace, the growth you’ll see, in your skills, mindset, and confidence is real.

Cons

That said, it’s definitely a high-energy environment, not always a typical 9-to-5. The pace can be intense, and it’s important to come in with clear expectations around what it takes to succeed. There’s a strong culture of ownership and accountability, which can be incredibly motivating, but it might be challenging if you’re looking for a slower or more predictable routine.

Too many changes

Pros

Great product. Great vision Competitive compensation Tech stack is best

Cons

Too many changes Very poor at change management. Hired good people, pivots, fires them within 2 years Lost small and mid market enterprise.market is sustaining on renewals with little or no new business additions. Makes you wonder why so many changes and layoffs/ transitions when your pivot is not producing any result. Company survives from quarter to quarter like any recent IPO. So does your job. You come to work one day and find your boss replaced. Which means you have to start all over again and at some point you begin to wonder what did you even do. I have heard this very often that people are told that if you don't like it leave. This is where the poor change management reflects. Exit meetings I am told are brutal, short and no clear explanation given.for termination. We all wait for the quarter end to see if we will come to work the next day.

ZoomInfo Response

Thanks for sharing your perspective. We’re glad to hear you value the product, the vision, the compensation, and the strength of our tech stack. Those are key areas we invest in to stay competitive and deliver for our teammates and customers. At the same time, we recognize your concerns around change and how it's been managed. We’ve made intentional shifts to focus resources where they’ll drive the most impact. That means evolving our org structure and team focus to stay ahead in a fast-moving market. It's not change for the sake of change. But how we lead through that matters, and it’s clear we have work to do in making transitions more transparent. We invite you to share those specific concerns with your leader or HR business partner so it can be a two-way dialogue. We expect a lot from our people because we know the opportunity here is big. That’s not for everyone, and we understand that. But for those who thrive in a high-performance, take-charge environment, ZoomInfo continues to be a place where careers accelerate. Thanks for weighing in on your experience. We’re committed to getting better at how we support that journey, especially during times of change. - Chad Herring, Chief Human Resources Officer
