Pros

Pay. 12 plus commission and they give you a uniform. They have benefits for full time workers and the job is easy.

Cons

Seems to be understaffed and unorganized. My job application was lost numerous times and I had to keep calling them and redoing the application for them to hire me. Afterwards, I was fired for "not knowing enough" a week after my first two weeks of training. It was weird and the turn over rate seems to be high there from what I have seen and other coworkers have told me.

Pros

- Extremely good experience provided by working at such a high volume retailer. I was a Casual Sales Assistant at the Pitt St Sydney Flagship store and I learned so much in a short time. - Good rotation. I worked on the floor, in the changerooms, and in the stockroom and got a lot of great experience by jumping around and getting a good feel for a lot of roles.

Cons

- Payroll is so messed up. Often, you won't get paid for all of the hours you've worked in your shift and when you complain to HR about it, they'll send you back an email in broken English saying there's nothing they can do. There's nowhere to escalate it. Many of my coworkers were owed between $200 and $1000 in hours that were conveniently missed out of their payslips. There's no possible reason for this to happen, seeing as there are fingerprint scanners which you use at the beginning and end of your shifts. - Rude, demanding managers. Some of my managers were lovely people, but some of them were extremely stuck-up, catty and seemed extremely bitter, especially towards the younger staff aged 17-19. - Constantly rostered me against my availabilities and threatened to fire me if I didn't show up to the shifts they had me rostered on, even though I had made it clear I was attending university and this was my priority. - At my particular store, customers were absolutely terrible. I can't even begin to count the number of times I had clothes thrown at me while people were walking out of the fitting rooms. - NO employee discounts unless you've been working there full-time for six months. - Constantly understaffed and they are constantly cutting people's hours and trying to cut costs in any way possible. It is so obvious they don't care at all about their employees. - Employee turnover is ridiculously high because you get treated terribly and there's no allegiance to the company. People are constantly leaving and being replaced.
