Pros

-Hourly wage is decent, considering the fact that retail employees aren't paid as well -Most customers are very kind and understanding -Coworkers and Managers are friendly and outgoing -Uniform given so you won't have to worry about what to wear, as you most likely would work many days per week -Opportunities for growth: many opportunities to be come assistant managers or leaders of the store's departments by starting out as a sales associate or cashier -Coworkers willing to help you learn as much as you can when starting out -Long hours, which means more pay

Cons

-During sale times, the store is literally trashed by the customers, and cleaning the store takes hours -Long hours on your feet: at the end of your shift your body will ache -Customers trash the fitting room by trying on 20+ items then throwing them anywhere when they are done trying them on: some employees live in the fitting room because it is so busy -Many duties to do at once: once your schedule is made, you are given one task to do, but considering that there is so much to do, and other employees don't do their assigned tasks, you end up doing something completely different -Small 15% discount and Commission given after Introductory period

Pros

It gives you experience for corporate jobs. It's the same type of personalities at every job, from McDonald's to Prudential.

Cons

The discount is garbage. It's 15%. But Chicago Tax is 9.75%. Promotions are based on convenience, not skill set. Quality of life is not really important. You have to manipulate your availability to maintain your sanity.
