Pros

If you really want to learn about the fashion world and how retail actually works, Zara is the place to work. Their expectations are HIGH. Good management and other employees. Managers are willing to help you and teach you.

Cons

Fast paced. Training was one day only and from personal experience, I barely learned ANYTHING except how to fold clothes and where they go. They expect for you to know EVERYTHING. After a month of working there, I still had a lot to learn.

Pros

Overall work environment is engaging, and provides full exposure to almost all current fashion trends; it is very easy to get job at the company, plus the learning curve is pretty smooth; employee discount.

Cons

Ridiculous management, as store managers have absolutely no power over anything (including everyone else in the store) and all decisions, which are always anything but right, are made by head office. If store sales will start to drop, they will cut employees hours, which leads to sales associates being unable to provide good customer services and tend to store issues properly as there is not enough people. This also leads to further reducing of sales, and employees will get even less hours and this circle could not be broken. Necessity to wait three months until you can get your employee discount and uniform. Career opportunities and capabilities for growth are rather low. Colleagues are not pleasant to work with, but this depends on the store.
