AWFUL place to work.

Pros

Good pay rate and commission

Cons

Short staffed all the time. Managers threaten people with file notes, and these are the same people that spend their time with their mobile phones in the office all day. After a year working there and trying to progress, I have noticed that everyone in higher places are related in one way or another. Managers are really childish and don't know the meaning of being professional at all. If managers don't like you (or if you're not friends or not related to them) they will not allow you to have requested days or any life outside of work or weekends off.

Pros

Great employees and management, easy to move up, decent hours, great clothes. I enjoyed being a key holder and buying for the women and trf lines. I didn't want to sit behind a desk all day, so I didn't mind being on my feet. Option to travel and help open new stores. One of the girls who used to work at H&M had mentioned they would be there til 1-2 am to finish closing sometimes, but we were never there more than 30 min to an hour after work (inventory aside). I didn't mind wearing uniforms, but it would be nice to have better options. My main store didn't have a high turnover rate. If you like fashion, they are obviously very on trend.

Cons

Time- off policies aren't great, and they always give you a hard time (I had a few family emergencies that could have been better dealt with on their end). The discount (15%) is terrible; many places offer at least 20 and sometimes up to 40-50% and/or a seasonal stipend. The corporate staff seemed a little snobby to us retail employees. I worked at three locations, and two of them had tiny, uncomfortable stockrooms which often made dealing with shipments difficult. One of the stores is alarmingly busy and too small for its location. The break room was bleak and tiny.
