Pros
I’ve been working at ZOO Digital Group since November 2021, and it’s been a genuinely rewarding experience. One of the biggest positives for me is the flexibility. The hybrid working model allows for a healthy work-life balance, and I’m trusted to manage my own time and workload without being micromanaged. The environment is friendly and supportive, and the people I work with are approachable, collaborative and genuinely kind.
There’s a strong culture of employee recognition here, and I feel that my work is both seen and appreciated. It’s always great to receive positive comments about what I do, as it really motivates me to keep giving my best. The variety of projects I’ve been involved in has helped me to develop my knowledge and skills even further, and I’ve grown a lot professionally since joining.
I’ve also learnt so much about content localisation and the entertainment industry as a whole. It’s exciting to work on projects for some of the biggest names in entertainment such as Apple, Disney, Netflix and NBCU, among many others.
Like many companies, ZOO has had its ups and downs, and we did lose some great people along the way. However, it’s clear that the company is now well on its way to recovery, and things are looking really positive again.
Overall, ZOO is a great place to work if you value trust, flexibility, personal growth and being part of a genuinely friendly team.
Cons
Salary reviews were paused due to the wider disruption in the industry which is understandable given the circumstances. That said, there have been times where the workload has felt quite demanding (like I’m doing the work of an entire design team), so it would be nice to see this reflected a bit more in future pay reviews once things stabilise.
