I can totally understand, that in a global organization like ours, with more than 160k employees, some processes seem to be to detailed and of course with structures like these, politics are part of the game :) In terms of your comments on employee voice, I can`t agree - looking back into the previous weeks, we conducted a global employee engagement survey to listen to the voice of each of our employees in order to improve different topics of our work life.       No career progression unless you are German

      Pros

      The vast majority of employees on the Solihull site are professional and great to work with. Good team spirt and good working conditions and benefits. Some new technology development within the restrictions of a large business. New office. Solihull site very inclusive and tolerant, a long way ahead of the German sites.

      Cons

      Run by Germans for Germans. German sites and employees are always prioritised over other sites, regardless of competence. Employees demoted to allow for German management over local management which has led to cases where highly competant employees have been forced out to make way for German counterparts. Very much a jobbing engineering site now, competing with low cost sites in India and China. Very little autonomy, everything is dictated from Germany.
