Great gig, not always a great situation

Pros

Discounts on fresh made sandwiches. Some GMs very flexible with scheduling depending on advanced notice.

Cons

Owners do not invest enough in employees. High turnover means extra shifts but burden is placed on coworkers to cover for each other. Managers frequently rely on cross trained subordinates to save the day by coming in on days off and working 6 day weeks including doubles in differing departments for the same pay as those who are not cross trained and do not work in different departments.
