      Annual layoffs and restructuring is the only strategy

      Pros

      Work from home to employees outside the office location/city. This makes work-life balance easy most times.

      Cons

      Frequent layoffs followed by "reorgs and restructuring", leadership changes in every 2 years followed by vision and strategy change. No solid direction, No fair compensation, lost the once-dreamy culture as the people who nurtured it left or were laid off, increments next to none. Just a matter of time till you make it to the yearly retrenchment list.

      Pros

      There are a lot of benefits when you are part of this organization. The team is the most polite I've found in a lot of time, we are a multicultural team which gives the exposure to different cultures and ways of working. You'll learn a lot about best practices and of course, about how from the technical pov we are contributing to the Yara's mission.
