They don’t care

Pros

Only perk of this job is 3 week on and 3 week off schedule but that can be found with most companies on the slope.

Cons

Took away 401k Cut wages, I personally lost almost $4/hr Company proved just what they thought of their employees during start of covid pandemic. Made out of state employees pay for all expenses to complete a required 14 day quarantine (around $2k). Most if not all other companies on the slope we’re paying for their employees quarantine lodging and food. This company continues to promises raises and will lie to your face about the hold ups in the raise process. Even will threaten to fly you off slope if you continue to ask about the status of the raise process. They will lie to you about future raises during the hiring process that will never come. It’s pathetic the moral of the crews and how most are constantly looking for other opportunities and if you approach management their response is “ we always like to see new faces” and “you should be lucky to have a job”! My advice would be to stay clear of this company unless you enjoy lies and deception.

Pros

Too much free time, can have 1 hour tea breaks - ideal place for lazy people

Cons

* No job security - if you book man-hours, you will get paid, else no pay. * Horrible boss - doesnt care when you speak, he'll simply look at his phone while you speak and when you finish speaking he'll ask you to repeat what you spoke. * No acccountability - dont follow standard procedures for calculations defined in international standards - just 1+1 =2 and submit for approval. * No appreciation for hard work or smart work - only appreciate for boot-licking. * Highly mismanaged company - Worley India especially. They promise reward, but then take back double from you. * CEO simply says to fire people when there are no jobs - like when 2020 pandemic started.

OK for big industry exposure

Pros

Offers opportunities to work on-site with big industry clients on interesting technical projects. Short and simple interview process depending on the position. Decent pay with a diverse benefits package. Favorable work/life balance.

Cons

Advertises itself as a major engineering firm but actually is a project company that only hires and retains employees so long as their clients have specific project needs. Not well diversified, so if their client ends the project and/or decides that they need to cut back on project staff, the employees likely have no recourse except to seek work elsewhere. Despite requiring those initially hired to receive a lengthy background check (which curiously did not include requesting any personal references), the company will cut staff at the drop of a hat without any severance. Alternately, they offer what they term a "company convenience leave of absence" prior to separation which normally is one month of unpaid notice. Like many project outfits, the company organization is relatively flat with limited training and minimal discretion among work assigned. An "Engineer V" may be assigned the same work as an "Engineer I". Depending on the client, projects often follow an arcane structure that is unnecessarily tedious to follow, although the company was still in process of consummating operations from Jacobs' ECR division at the time of my departure. I personally didn't take away much of experiential value, which was disappointing. Benefit options are fairly extensive but average and expensive.
