Pros

-They hired me during the GFC -They are one of the best engineering consultancy regarding salaries when you first join -They keep winning high profile petroleum projects in Australia (but poorly deliver them)

Cons

-poor company culture (no social activities conducted) -they would never re-negotiate your salary once your employed -they don't care if you leave the company (they won't fight to keep you unless they really think they need you -there is a high level of staff turnover so its common to meet people who ahve only been with the company less than 5 years -nobody likes their job or the people they work with -There are many things wrong with this company from all the way from the top to all the way down in each of the delivery centers in Australia. Only when I left did I realise that this company had a reputation for being the highest paying company when recruiting people and also known as the worst company for retaining staff and to work for!

Pros

Lots of potential to advance...good starting salary...good company with a good future...Good culture within the company...Lots of travel opportunities

Cons

It's a big company so you can get lost...The job can be a lot of hours at time (but there is overtime pay)

Pros

As an EPCM company, WorleyParsons is pretty good at landing diverse contracts, which lends to a pretty stable working environment. (Which results in fewer layoffs in down times.)

Cons

Perhaps they should concentrate a bit more on the assets they do have, instead of continuing to acquire more companies. Also, some of the ideas coming from Head Office are Australia-centric, which might not work in other areas of the planet.
