Pros

It is a very international environment, with colleagues from all across the globe. It also offers relatively good work-life balance, and diverse nature of work

Cons

The place is very bureaucratic, and employees are not as valued for their work as in a private organization. Politics, especially as you become senior, is rampant, and you tend to get promoted more because people "like you", and less because you are awesome at what you do.
