Pros

Nice place to work and learn. I got exposed to the type of questions on the minds of big companies and businesses.

Cons

IMO there isn't enough leeway for new employees to grow and get used to the rules for working at Wonder. A few poor ratings on jobs could make it almost impossible to level up to the minimum quality score which is quite unwelcoming for a newbie.

Hi! Firstly, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As a platform built on a community, we really appreciate any feedback that can help us grow and make Wonder a better place for everyone. As with anything, perfecting working at Wonder takes time. We understand that the learning curve for new analysts may be a bit steeper, so we've extended the "learning period" between when an analyst starts and when they receive their first quality score. These scores are meant to help analysts track their own performance and know when they're eligible to level up to new jobs. We'd love for you to continue answering more intriguing questions and earn in your free time. Feel free to sign up for any of our Onboarding or Mentorship sessions in the community slack if you'd like to sharpen your sourcing skills! And, of course, please feel free to email me anytime at research@askwonder.com. I'd love to know more about your experience.

Pros

Yearly offsite team retreat is a lot of fun Smart, nice, and hardworking coworkers Good work life balance As a part timer you can make good money if you are good Fair compensation They have been nice to give severance pay to laid off staff

Cons

Not a stable company There have been mass layoffs in 2019 and 2020 The direction of the company pivots massively every quarter Confusing company vision The executive team sugarcoats everything You will not know how the company is performing until they need to make cuts When they do make cuts you will have no prior warning or no prior indication the company is struggling Culture of toxic positivity The executive team does not have lot of experience and are not experts in the industry they are trying to establish themselves in

Pros

Work from home, flexible hours. I found the researching fun, and educational. Good community in general. Decent experience to start with.

Cons

Only the top people can make it here, and getting to the top is next to impossible. I wrote 5 articles, only to be disapproved, a Top 'Researcher' then copied my work and was paid.
