Its all about luck, and how much your manager likes you

Pros

Good reputation. If you're lucky, you'll get a good project and a good manager, and you can use these to your advantage and climb up the ladder fairly quickly. You'll learn to fight for what is rightly yours. Company benefits are the best I've seen so far.

Cons

Salary is much lower than industry standards. No chance of raises or hikes even if you're the best performer in your project. HR does not really know what it takes to be a good techie, and comes up with absurd policies that just hamper your career growth. Its only when you're indispensible and decide to leave the company, that they decide to take you seriously.

Pros

Small company so easy visibility to top management If you dont have ambition to work outside india or interested in the govt., public sector customers as Wipro Infotech caters to only customers in India and Middle East.

Cons

Pathetic IT infrastructure.. offices look like some govt. offices... training rooms looks like some godown.. Managers are old fashioned in their thinking with least exposure to technology.. Phone call to the person is a 'must' (after dropping mail) for getting work done... otherwise nobody bothers to respond to your official mails... work environment is like a 'sarkari daftar'

* Wipro has a good reputation in the market so you can easily fetch good jobs after working here. * Work life balance is good. A retirement company in this sense. * Diversified in work domains. * Lot of talented young people around.

Cons

* Internal hikes are like peanuts. * HR policies are unfriendly towards employees.
