      Used to be a good place to work 5 years back but the recession has changed that

      Pros

      1. Lets you take up a role even if you are 75% fit thus giving you an opportunity & a challenge to scale up even if you are a natural fit.

      Cons

      1.Excessive focus on operating margin, quarterly results, bulge ratio etc most often causing poorly staffed teams, inadequate resources to execute. 2.The trimming of work force during recession has resulted in not only dissatisfied workforce but also under-prepared unlike competitors to grab opportunities immediately after recession.

      One of the rising stars in IT Consulting, but internal processes and employee focus has a long way to go

      Pros

      Good direction and strategy. Concentrating on the right areas, right approach in looking for right clients and projects. Recruitment of senior consultants from the BIG 4 and similar has helped shape this. Much better geared in making a clear breakthrough as a proper IT consulting compared to other Indian IT firms. Good level of expertise amongst the staff.

      Cons

      1. Poor communication from upper management 2. Lack of transparency in promotions and general apathy in dealing with employee concerns 3. Poor internal processes (HR, finance etc) 4. Change at the top level (2 veteran co-CEOs have just left) means that the company is thrown into a turmoil 5. Lack of collaboration with Consulting and delivery teams - constantly threading on each other's toes.

      Provides oppurtunity to develop skills in a number of domains and techologies. You can have a career across the world.

      Cons

      But it all depends on the account and your immediate manager. If the account or your supervisor are not good, it isnt worth.
