Tedious, unrewarding work for low compensation

* Remote working? But, we could have been working remotely for three years, but it required a pandemic for it to happen and employees were STILL required to work in a computer lab through April 2020. Anyway, remote working is not a novel concept nowadays. Big deal. I'm just trying to find something good to say.

Cons

* Very tedious and client-specific work; skills and knowledge are not transferable * Company will bend over backwards for its clients, but not for its employees * Little upward advancement, but many who have achieved it aren't qualified * For a company in the technology field, it is not very forward-thinking

Pros

Communications have always been excellent. Testing leads always provide clear instructions on projects that testers work on. Fair pay.

Cons

This part-time role doesn't give you specific hours to work - you only work when there are projects assigned to you. Sometimes you don't get projects for 2 weeks straight.

no raises ableism no vacation pay only 2 paid holidays unaffordable insurance 3 days of sick pay micromanaging unorganized corrupt upper management many unpaid holidays/days off
