Pros

They offer good benefits You can gain experience in banking and sales. If you are good at sales, they will like you. If you like or need structure, this may work for you.

Cons

Focus on numbers and quotas, not best interest of customer. Very sales driven, quota wins over integrity every time. In general, employees are not very broadly educated. Seem to promote those who say yes and terminate those who question authority or rules that don't make sense to follow. Everything is repeated to leadership as information is power . Oddly enough, non professional behavior by leadership is ignored, even when harassment is evident.

Legacy-Wachovia management appears to have little influence over business decisions Difficult economic climate and lack of transparency on potential compensation leading to poor office morale Wells Fargo still struggling with integration of investment and corporate bank "External hire" culture with few success stories of advancment from Associate/VP to MD
