Pros

Opportunities abound to provide rapid career growth for those so inclined. Standard fare otherwise for companies in the space. Great location for city dwellers.

Cons

Pay subpar with cost of living in the area. Health benefits only attractive for single twenty-somethings. Work life balance has become unbalanced over past year or so, with greater expectations to take on additional responsibility.

Friendly atmosphere. Casual office dress code. Open floor plan (no cubes)

Cons

Pay is abysmal. It surprises me that they wonder why so many people are leaving the company. It's kind of scary when the average tenure of people in your department is less than 6 months. Tells you a lot right there. Unfortunately you are just another cog in the wheel at Wayfair. You can be easily replaced, for someone willing to accept less pay than industry average. So don't expect anyone in senior management to miss you when you leave. This is at the very best, a job...it will never be a career until there is a wholesale change in the way they view their employees.

Plenty of learning opportunities available for all experience levels. Culture focused on transparency and learning.

Cons

If you are in the Engineering department, and you obtain an entry level position at Wayfair, chances are this is your first or second job out of college. You will notice your starting salary is 24% below industry standard. For what you work with, that is not O.K.
