Pros
- Wayfair seems to hire only smart, motivated extroverts which makes it remarkably easy to make lasting friendships with coworkers - Subsidized, inexpensive benefits (this reviewer is a single person) - Great learning environment with plenty of opportunity to flesh out professional skills
Cons
As everyone else has said - it should be echoed that pay is laughable. There is absolutely no way to have a career here if you start in an entry level position. Come here with a masters and 15 years experience and you might do well. The company likes to talk about how the business grows exponentially year after year and that last year made something like $600 million. Obviously that isn't the net profit, but clearly the money taken is quite substantial. After leaving customer service for a "promotion" this reviewer took a pay cut of about $8k a year so working here just feels like a dead end and there's no clear path on how to earn more money as employees shift departments with unnerving frequency and most moves are of course lateral because all jobs that would require pay increases seem to be filled externally.
