      They may be doing well, but they don't care for their employees

      Pros

      The company is growing and getting good press.

      Cons

      Wayfair couldn't care less about supporting the people who work for them. They pay horribly and treat their employees like commodities. Maybe smart recent grads with Ivy League degrees are a dime a dozen in Boston, but a company can't be successful with longevity unless they invest in, care about, and support the people who contribute and ultimately are responsible for the growth and success of the company. Quarterly drinks are a great way to blow off steam, but a better strategy would be to prevent your employees from needing to blow off steam in the first place.

      Pros

      Opportunity to learn and implement programs (SQL, Excel, PPTX) at an intermediate level. Fun environment, great coworkers, decent benefits, free branded swag, good office location.

      Cons

      Extremely difficult to move up. Zero transparency despite it being a company value. Lower level employees are discouraged from taking on bigger projects and remain "soldiers" .

      Pros

      The people at Wayfair are wonderful; people are young and upbeat. Wayfair has a lot of great benefits and the culture is fun and exciting.

      Cons

      Pay is low and there is little opportunity to move up in the company though pretty easy to change departments.
