The turnover makes sense.

Pros

Great place to work right after college, work hard play hard culture, social teams, make new friends, good name on the resume. Think of it as a bootcamp for your next job. Then leave after a year or two tops, because the company can't and won't compete with any doors that it will open for you.

Cons

Can't hire enough new talent to fill roles in many departments, which only increases the workload and pressure on entry level workers who are already underpaid. Toxic management styles are overlooked as long as business objectives are met. Entry levels are taken for granted and in constant turnover since Wayfair would rather pay the bare minimum than pay competitively to keep seasoned employees on staff. Internal politics have too much weight on leadership in some departments. Work/life balance is great on some teams but terrible on others. It's become notoriously bad in some creative roles.

Pros

Laid back culture, causal, good fringe benefits and social scene. I felt very supported in my category by my managers.

Cons

Low pay, huge turnover, not much autonomy on the bottom. Working in customer service will burn you out fast, especially during the busy season.

Pros

- Excellent work/life balance - Company cares about you as a person - Co-workers are smart and fun - Incredible collegiate culture (I felt that I could be good friends with my co-workers) - Pretty decent codebase for a company of this size - Company parties are well organized - You feel empowered to make your own decisions - Tons of freedom to work on things that you are interested in - Flexibility to move around within the organization Hands down the best place I've worked at so far. Probably one of the best places to work in Boston.

Cons

- Compensation for software engineers should be higher - Not as many perks as some of the larger tech companies - As a programmer, you're going to be writing in PHP
