Pros
Friendly customers and co-workers, and tips is good
Cons
A lot of workload (including making sandwiches and salads everyday, baking new pastries, taking orders and making drinks while there are only 2 people working at the same time). I opened and closed alone, which is dangerous considering working on Hastings and Richards street, where there are a lot of homeless. It's a franchise, so manager and owner is the same person, but she doesn't do her job properly. She barely comes every week, and always asks us to come and cover her at the night before, with so many dumb excuses, and if we rejects, she will cut our hours. Our working time on the POS is changed, and there was a time I was paid 13 hours less because of that, I told her and she paid me back, but the next time when I was paid less again, she avoided and ignored me. She is always rude as well and commands us to do her manager job like checking the inventory (but when we make a small mistake, she will be angry at us),... Payment is late and she always try to find an excuse for it and try to manipulate us all the time.
