Pros
You get good beneifits, learn more about potter and sometimes even get to go in the sets themselves
Cons
You’re not treated like an adult. Management are so incompetent and will say you need to ‘do more’ but won’t actually come out on the floor to see you do it so you end up in a position where you’re stuck. Favouritism is rife. One of our managers lives with someone in our department and that group will continue to have all the benefits and not held to the same standards you’re. Also you’re expected to do way more than the job offers. Sometimes you could be on a position for 2 maybe even 3 hours and when that’s something fun like a speech it’s fine but when you’re pressing a button in the dark for 2 hours it’s anything but fine. You also are expected to be able to do the new speeches without having a rehearsal of them first and management expect you to know all the new information without being given it for each feature. There’s a lot expected of you that isn’t in the job description. Also - you have an hour of unpaid lunch, which would be fine, but they’re robbing you of your time. Depending on what position you’re on you have to get to the break room first so you have to leave wherever you’re and then get all the way to the back of the building up 3 flights of stairs, get your bag out, and then go for lunch - by that time you’ve lost 5-10 mins and then you have to factor in getting back - another at least 5 - 10 mins lost so you get around half hour for lunch.
