Pros

The perks are nice. Not as great as the other entertainment company next door, but we have free movie screenings on the lot. Walking around the studio was always fun, driving the golf carts, passing by productions being filmed and bumping into the occasional celebrity.

Cons

Very Corporate. Not open to change. We had an employee survey and the results were pretty abysmal. Half of my team left the year I was there because there wasn't much work .

Pros

Working on a movie studio Nice coworkers Not much more, but I had to write at least 20 words. Seriously this job was pretty awful. It looks nice on the outside, but you will be told even by management that you will get stuck.

Cons

Forced to be union with no benefits Terrible pay No guarantee of job past seasonal hire No room for growth Extremely strict policies

Pros

Good people Amazing benefits Great vacation time Seriously passionate and talented production team

Cons

Advancement is very limited and rare to come by Stay away from QA here, over time QA has lost it's charm and warm welcome of a home away from home feeling. Now it is a lifeless husk of testers sharing desks over the course of a split day/evening shifts working in a sweatshop-like atmosphere. Hard work and expertise are no longer recognized instead favoring a number of bodies which can be thrown at a project and opportunities will be given to those who agree with the right people. Those who do not comply or disagree (even senior employees) will get tossed aside like leftovers, it's ok "let them quit" as management says.
