Pros

Flexibility! When in high school and community college, Walgreens gave me an extremely flexible schedule around classes and homework. However, expect to work your fair share of nights, weekends, and holidays.

Cons

Not a lot of growth opportunity. In-store management positions are often not available at the same store you started in, so expect to move to several different stores as you move up the chain.

Pros

The company has no debt and is very healthy and growing. Insurance and benefits are good.

Cons

Retail sucks in my opinion. Someone has to work the overnights and It will most likely be you many times. Having somewhat regular hours and weekends are important to me so retail doesn't work.
