Pros

There are usually work from home opportunities depending on the position, casual dress, some travel, pretty lenient management - if you have a good supervisor.

Cons

Business processes don’t make sense, they make things more difficult than they should be, inconsistent management styles, hire people for numbers not quality workers. Raises & bonuses are a joke, don’t make you feel appreciated at all. Very high turnover rates. No one ever knows what’s going on.

Pros

Only positive was that the job was a paycheck with mediocre benefits (diminishing with each passing year). Management was always taking about improvements which were very slow to happen if at all.

Cons

Utterly disorganized. The manager I reported to was not held accountable for abusive behavior and sabotaging direct reports. HR is checked out. Employees frustrated with the culture were not supported for their efforts. It was like working into a void. No connectivity. No leadership. New initiatives were not properly rolled out therefore there was a lack of buy-in on new technology. Random efforts at cultural behaviors which resulted in failure.

Adequate package -- salary is around market average, and good benefits; Location is quite good; Flexible hours; Relaxed atmosphere.

Cons

Company is too large and slow to change, lots of antiquated tools and processes; Career progression is non-existent, you should better make sure you join the company at the right position, because you'll be stuck in the same place doing same things for years. "Annual Performance Review" is a joke -- nobody seems to give a fig; Innovation is not recognised or rewarded; Poor communication from upper management -- lots of business-speak, but very little information.
