Pros

Global network is great but it stops there.

Cons

Management is about the poorest I've ever seen. Promoting people into positions that do not have the experience needed to run an office smoothly. Too much "buddy system". No equal advancement. The work just keeps piling on without relief, tho they claim there is.. that's another story. They have allowed their producers to act badly towards the other staff. 401K match is one of the worst in the industry, 3%. Dominic Casserly promised change and to take care of the employees.. all I see is the same blah.. blah.. blah.. sad.

While your review is not one we like to hear, we do appreciate your feedback regarding your experience at Willis. Regarding your first comment on that the,” Global network is great,” that is one of the reasons we do utilize staff in Mumbai for many of our processes is because it brings the global aspect into play. The transitioning of processes to Mumbai unfortunately does take time to train staff on process that are often foreign concepts, we understand your frustration, but transitions for success do not happen overnight. When it comes to our relatively new CEO, he does want to see all of our staff succeed and that is why the company has rolled out a new core value system just a few months ago. Those values consist of advocacy, respect, teamwork, development and integrity all associates are expected to uphold those values on a daily basis, as discussed as our values training all associates were encouraged to attend at the beginning of summer. We would like the opportunity to speak with you, confidentially, regarding your concerns and how we can work together to rebuild your experience at Willis. This review being anonymous, we have no means to reach out to you directly, could you please either email us at domore.us@willis.com or call us at 1-866-704-5114? Your concerns do matter to Willis’s management team and we would like the opportunity to rebuild your view and show to you we do value all of our associates.

Pros

There are a large number of smart and helpful coworkers at TW. Always willing to help out. The benefits are decent: Matching 401k, Pension Plan, PTO, flexible work from home scheduling.

Cons

The work can be very rewarding and help with career growth, but there is a lot of it. A lot of reviews have quoted an excellent work/life balance but I don't see it. Hours each week range from 45 to 60 on average for most it seems. And for others it's even more. Many people work weekends and nights to keep up. The pay scale is awful. Some people are paid quite well and others are underpaid. It's largely based on who hired you and when and it's very hard to "catch up" with salary.

Pros

People are very bright and once they have kicked back a few drinks they loosen up and personalities actually begin to develop!

Cons

Leadership? Leadership is too busy to pay any attention to what the individual managers are up to. Then, when things are escalated, and probably too late- they become involved. The managers need training, the staff needs training. When leadership is engaged- they are great- it just does not happen all the time. Too bad. It would create a better environment and change the culture.
