Scheduling freedom. Realistic billable goals. Exciting and varied technical work. Highly-skilled technical staff. Decent work/life balance.

Cons

Little possibility for career advancement past a a certain level (top heavy). Decreasing benefits. Poor business development department creates little increase in market share. Terrible mentorship program. Decreasing management loyalty with each major corporate expansion. High billing rates cause poor outcomes in competitive bidding scenarios.

Sustainable engineering is a major focal point of all designs at the firm Very laid back atmosphere A great place to learn, depending on supervisor, for entry level candidates

Cons

Has become almost as corporate as AECOM Responsibility to compensation ratio is skewed Little to no quality control when submitting drawings to clients Upper level management does not support lower to mid level staff Management uses intimidation to discourage discourse regarding responsibilities/ compensation Promotion metrics are designed to prohibit advancement

A trusting environment, allowing employees huge flexibility with a great focus on getting it right for the client and letting the rest fall into place. A large company though, where many different departments operate in different ways.

Cons

This is a large, disparate company, with many skills in many industries. Working together in global multi-disciplinary teams is a challenge to such a company.
