The people you work with have an ego the size of the Burj Khalifa, the management is indifferent to your opinion whenever a dispute arises, and there exists an atmosphere of forced politeness and superficial friendliness which is exposed the moment you just want to do your job rather than participate. Then your coworkers will start disliking you, will stop giving you work, will report you as lazy to management for not doing work which they don't give you, and forget about solving any dispute or problem if you are new in a matter other than prostrating yourself. Your opinions will in this case matter about as much as a mouse's do to the cat that wants to kill it.
