Pros

Call center in a smaller town, so no commute to the larger surrounding cities.

Cons

Work life balance is nonexistent. Be prepared to sign your soul away, but they’ll pay you decent enough to suck you in to stay longer. You’re a small fish in a very large pond, so unless you’re sleeping around with management, you’re not going anywhere. Pushed to make customers keep their service even when they weren’t using it, even worse is pushing those to keep their service that couldn’t afford it.

Pros

Verizon Wireless was a great company to work for before the merger with Verizon Communications. Good Medical and Dental benefits. 6% 401K Match and bonus with profit-sharing given every year. Worked with great people with talent and skills.

Cons

Once Verizon Communications came in, the company culture changed completely. Positions were being micro-managed. Everything was examined under the microscope. Layoffs began to occur more frequently. Felt like everyone was always looking over their shoulders.
