Pros

High Salary, and 401(k) matching.

Cons

Bellevue office continues to shrink in size. Annual layoffs. IT jobs now being "rebadged" over to InfoSys, without existing seniority transferring over. Now there is a voluntary separation package offered to 44,000 employees. New CEO placing his stamp on the company and this is no longer a stable company to work for.

Pros

50% off overpriced cell service

Cons

Bad leadership from corporate-level down, employees are disposable, leadership has no integrity, terrible benefits, bad culture, restrictive attendance policies for even mid-level jobs, no accountability for anyone in leadership positions and above, racist leadership, terrible pay well below market value, HR ignores valid complaints. Employees come last at Verizon. This was made clear when they announced a “voluntary termination”, or preemptive lay-off of 44,000 employees. Now people who have signed up to get a severance are being put on final warnings for things they aren’t doing in an effort to fire them before they can get their severance which has a due date 2 months out. Over the past 9 years of working there Verizon has slowly taken away more benefits from their employees to “save money” and “save the company”. You don’t take from your employees to make the company better. Learn from the Costco’s and Google’s of the world. Verizon is the worst place I have ever worked and I’m so glad I stopped drinking the kool-aid after 9 years. I now work at a place that offers twice my pay for the same job, I work remote rather than being treated like a child with an attendance policy that is worse than an elementary school, and I most important, now that I have quit Verizon I no longer dread coming into work everyday not suffer from panic and anxiety attacks just for going to work. Verizon is the worst company, and only cares about their shareholders. Employees are a number and are completely disposable. Run far away!!
