Pros

Big company with lots of room for potential growth.

Cons

Terrible place to work as an entry level employee. All decisions are made behind close doors by old people who don't know what happens on the floor or in the actual operations. They are choking the beautiful ski culture by purchasing everything and hiring unqualified gapes. Vail isn't even a good mountain. Its flat. Vail sucks.

Pros

There are some nice people you work with but that's about it.

Cons

Pay is way to low but the expectations are super high. My major advise: Don't work for Vail Resorts or if you need to get it out of your system come for one season but don't forget to bring enough cash. You need to go the extra mile all the time but VR is doing nothing in return. There squeeze you out like a lemon. The computer system is from the 90ies and totally outdated and you have to deal with the consequences everyday. The promised update is a joke and will never work. VR business model is based on hiring good people of no money. There is a lot of talk about a good work environment but that is just talk. For example safety: They talk about "being safe" all the time but let their ski instructors work 10-15 days straight to make money. Nobody cares about them. Once they get injured it was your fault of course> In short: Stay away from this company!
