Pros

You get to work on the mountain, and meet some great people.

Cons

You're often asked to do more then in your job description due to the nature of the job (information, safety, ambassador, etc.) Additionally sometimes feels like Broomfield is looking to cut cost and ask more and more of their employees without considerable compensation

Pros

Get to work in a fun industry, I enjoyed the people I directly worked with in each position I was at. Good perks on gear and ski pass are a plus.

Cons

Vail Resorts is detrimental to the ski industry as a whole, pushing the season pass strategy has created a massive barrier of entry to the sport. Outsourced half, probably more of finance/accounting jobs this year (2025). Low pay. Minimal growth opportunities, especially now with most jobs being outsourced.
