Pros

You're part of a game changer in cloud computing. All doors are open. Excellent products and execution. Talented and smart colleagues. Salary in line with the software industry.

Cons

Company is growing and increasingly slow. Decisions are mulled over for months only to be changed quickly after implementation. Middle management layers seem confused and demotivated. Silos across the company prevent innovation. No career development.

Great team, fantastic people, excellent energy. VMware has some of the best brains in the industry working for us and its thrilling to be a part of it.

Cons

never enough hours in the day! The company runs at such a pace there's never enough time to complete things to a 100% satisfaction

Freedom to do the best job I can without time-consuming administrative tasks Some excellent managers within this large company--if you get one, you are blessed! Telecommuting is usually supported for some number of days per week

Cons

Finding your niche takes some time, so look around once you get in and find that spot where you will be most happy.
